LG Watchphone - going, going, gone


The Orange LG Watchphone went on sale a few months back for a limited period – and sold out in hours.


Now, if you think the concept of a watchphone sounds a little odd, you’re probably too young to remember David Hasselhoff in Knight Rider – he was always talking to his car using his watch. They just don’t make ‘em like they used to.


Anyway, the concept obviously appealed to a fair few people, as the Orange LG Watchphone sold like hotcakes after going on sale in a Bond Street shop. Buyers travelled from all over Europe to get their mitts on it. Ben from Surrey told us, ‘I’m here to buy the Watchphone for my brother. He’s been waiting two years to get one.’ Bless.


It’s been called a ‘miracle of miniaturisation’ and ‘the ultimate boys’ toy’. Just a shame there isn’t one left for the Hoff…

Samsung have produced the first flexible AM OLED Screen, which from the video looks pretty cool.


HTC Touch Pro2 Now Upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5


Any users who own HTC Touch Pro 2 on Vodafone can now upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5.

The update can be downloaded here.

There are a few things you should know:

  • You need a broadband connection.
  • We recommend that you backup all important content - contacts, photos, ringtones, games etc - stored on your phone before you start.You'll need your phone's USB cable.
  • If you don't have one you can buy one from your local Vodafone store.
  • You'll also have to download an application to your PC.

Captain Galactic: Super Space Hero


Despite the horribly cheesy title, Captain Galactic is a surprisingly invigorating, dextrous puzzle game. The eponymous Captain begins by running up to speed around the circumference of a small planetoid. Once the escape velocity has been reached you shunt him into orbit, where he can circle the planet collecting up goodies lodged in the atmosphere.

When the planetoid has been cleared, you then make a break for the next stellar body. It’s a simple gameplay mechanic, but one that’s immensely addictive and quite original.

Quadrapop Mobile Game Gets Upgrade



Quadrapop, originally launched in 2005, is one of Sony Ericsson’s arcade style games for mobile phones and is pre-installed in many models.

* Music/Sound FX - Well, there's no music, and the Sound FX are OK, but honestly they can be a bit annoying. I actually play the game on mute so I can concentrate on my cards!

• Controls - I have been playing this game on a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and the controls are perfect. In addition to the touch-enabled version for Nokia S60 5th edition devices, the app is also available for most Nokia S60 3rd edition devices (such as the N95, N96, or N81), and various Nokia Series 40 devices.

Overall, this is a really cool blackjack strategy game. As an avid Blackjack player, I would recommend this application to both beginners and experts alike, as it will prove to be a valuable tool before you hit the casinos.
